The team consists of young engineers from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida.

U-ACT is headed by our Team Leader Akanksha Gulia, 4th year student at JIIT Noida. She was selected as a North India champion in this programme & as a part of her project she made this group. She has a strong interest in understanding climate change, sustainability issues and in environment and biodiversity conservation. She has been actively involved in youth leadership and environment related activities and strongly believes “Youth is the power to facilitate change and make world a better place to live in”.
She is an International Climate Champion 2010, a British Council programme and is also associated with Youth Leader India (a UNESCO project) and worked with Delhi Greens in the past.
She is also one of the six Indians to receive United Nations Online Volunteering Award 2010 for promoting peace and development
